What a difference an interview and a couple of darn hot Anoop Desai photos make!

The Anoop Desai Fandom is Buzzing!

On Wednesday, we posted our site statistics for the first 50 days since the move. The visitor figure jumped to ~400/day after Anoop announced his April album release. We discussed that the visitor statistics can be considered as a proxy for the buzz surrounding Anoop.

Then, on Thursday, these pictures (CLICK HERE) surfaced thanks to Malan Breton, a designer and former Project Runway contestant who dressed Anoop for Monday’s photo shoot. The Street Team traffic jumped to 805 visitors on Thursday.

On Friday, Anoop’s very insightful interview with Robin Milling was aired on blogtalkradio.com. Then, in the evening, Malan Breton treated Anoop fans with these darn hot pictures of Anoop, taken by Karl Simone. These two events caused the Anoop Desai buzz to get even louder, exhibited by the total of 846 visitors on Saturday!

Can We Maintain The Buzz Between Now and April?

Anoop’s album drops in April. Anoop and his publicists are doing an awesome job creating the buzz. Meanwhile, Anoop is also working hard at making music, getting the single and album ready. (Anoop reveals some preliminary album info during Robin Milling’s interview. Check it out.)

The Street Team will likely be launching the iTunes gifting campaign for overseas fans if appropriate, in case the single and album are released only to the US retailers.

Anoop will be singing the National Anthem before the UNC – Virginia Tech basketball game at 7:45 PM on Sunday, January 10, 2010. It is unclear whether his performance will be televised at this time. However, if you live in the local viewing area (or have an extensive cable sports subscription package), please consider recording the performance and sharing with other fans.
